John's practice encompasses all areas of general Common Law with extensive experience in the field of personal injury, C.I.C.A and fatal accident claims. He accepts instructions from both claimants and defendants in equal measure and is regularly instructed in fast and multi-track trials and hearings. He is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and the Personal Injury Bar Association.
His family work spans the full range of family and children law with particular emphasis on the consequences of relationship breakdowns e.g. residence/contact, Schedule 1 provision for children, matrimonial property and finance -often with significant assets in issue. Other areas include cases concerning the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 and Inheritance Act claims.
John has also successfully represented clients facing a variety of housing and land law problems - including landlord and tenant law, nuisance and anti-social behaviour disputes, boundary disputes, rights of easement and resulting and constructive trusts.
