Grenville has particular experience of cases involving the monetary consequences of relationship breakdown : ancillary relief, child support, trusts of land disputes between co-habitees, Inheritance Act applications, etc. He has acted in matters featuring jurisdictional issues, and in cases where the assets have ranged from moderate to very substantial.

Proceedings under the Children's Act have formed a substantial part of Grenville's practice, most frequently in cases concerning issues of residence and contact, often where physical/emotional harm is alleged.

He is a member of the Family Law Bar Association, Child Concern, Liberty, Legal Action Group and The Society for Computers & Law. For 3 years Grenville was a tutor at the University of Manchester Institute for Science and Technology and maintains an interest in the publication of law by electronic means.

Grenville is prepared to undertake pro-bono work in other areas such as employment & immigration on an occasional basis.
